Defensive Handgun Fundamental Levels 2.1 & 2.2
ALTERNATES ON THE LAST SATURDAY EVERY MONTH (EXCLUDING DECEMBER)
Our Defensive Handgun Fundamental Classes teach students who have developed solid shooting skills learned in Handgun Fundamentals 1 the techniques required for in home and concealed carry defensive shooting. All students must complete Handgun Fundamentals Level 1 and receive a safety verification – NO EXCEPTIONS.
Class times average 3 to 4 hours. This is a moderately physical class. In addition to normal range and safety gear (eye and hearing protection), students need to bring:
· Minimum of 2 magazines
· IWB/OWB or belly band style holster. No shoulder, angle, or purse holsters are permitted for this class (Defensive Handgun Level 2.2 only)
· Minimum of 65 rounds of ammunition for each class (100 rounds strongly recommended)
Defensive Handgun Level 2.1 – $200, class takes place at Hill Top Range
This indoor class introduces and builds the following skills:
· Controlled pairs
· Magazine changes
· Malfunction clearing
Defensive Handgun Level 2.2 – $200, class takes place at Frontier County Gun Club
This outdoor class introduces and builds the following skills:
· Drawing from holster
· Exception shooting
· Point shooting
We recommend bringing a hat, bug spray, sunscreen, a folding chair, lunch, salty snacks, and water or a sports drink.
These are advanced classes and space is limited. All students must demonstrate safe gun handling at all times. Any safety violations will result in an immediate expulsion from the class. There will be NO REFUNDS. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Class may be postponed on a short notice for severe weather or insufficient participation. Rain dates will be posted. We will not cancel for mild to moderate weather. Please dress accordingly.
