You are more likely to need a medical kit (and know how to use it) than a gun. The Bleeding Control (B-CON) course is part of the “Stop the Bleed” campaign and is designed for individuals who have little or no medical training but may be called upon as immediate responders when accidents happen. Their role would be to provide initial trauma care and bleeding control to a victim of traumatic injury before the arrival of emergency medical services or in an austere environment. Eligible Students: Eligible students are any individuals who may be called upon to assist with trauma patients while waiting for first response or EMS to arrive. The course has been designed for students who have received little or no prior medical training. Examples of potential students include parents, teachers, range instructors and range supervisors, and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers, construction workers, warehouse workers, etc..
